Where are you located?  How do I get there?

My office is located in downtown Oak Park, IL in the Historic Medical Arts Building, two blocks from the Oak Park stop on the CTA Green Line.  Parking is available in the garage directly behind the building.  There is also free, two hour parking one block East on Lake Street as well as metered parking on Oak Park Avenue and on Lake Street West of Oak Park Avenue.

What are your hours?

I work evening and daytime hours.  My hours are by appointment only.  Please contact me directly by email; rachelmhall5@live.com, phone; (773) 510-6418, or via this website to discuss my current openings and availability.

Do you accept insurance?

I am a contracted, in-network, provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Aetna and Optum/United Behavioral Health. I may be able to work with other insurance providers out-of-network.  This will depend on your insurance benefits and coverage. I also use a sliding scale with those in need of reduced fees.

How does insurance work?

Plans vary widely from person-to-person.  Most plans require you to pay some amount "out-of-pocket" at the time of service in the form of a "copay" (a set amount of money, for example, $30), or "co-insurance" (a percentage of the total fee paid, for example, 20%), and/or a deductible (an amount that must be paid in total before the insurer will start paying any claims, for example, $1500).  I encourage you to contact your insurance company before your first appointment to find out about your plan's coverage for psychotherapy.  You can do this by calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card and asking about your "outpatient behavioral health coverage".  In addition to learning about whether your coverage requires a co-payment, co-insurance and/or a deductible, please ask whether your plan requires "pre-authorization" before you can begin therapy, how many visits are allowed, and if there are any other specific restrictions on your policy.

What does therapy cost?

The "out-of-pocket" costs of therapy depend primarily on whether you are planning on paying privately or through your health insurance plan. Most health plans today offer mental health or behavioral health benefits.  Your plan will dictate the amount you would be responsible to pay verses how much the insurer will cover.  If you do not have health insurance, or would prefer to pay privately, my rates range between $60 and $130 for an individual, 45-60minute, therapy session.  Please contact me directly to discuss your rate.
